Looking back with thankfulness; Moving forward with wisdom.

The St Paul’s Church Hall has been valued as a community space throughout the local area since it was first opened in 1879. It has served as a worship space, a school; and a place where community gatherings and clubs have met. Due to safety concerns and natural damage the Church Hall is currently out of use. This led to a period of consultation & discernment as we reviewed next steps for the Church Hall.

Discerning next steps

In autumn 2021 we wrote to immediate residents and the church community to update them on the situation with the Church Hall, and to begin a process of evaluating the best way to move forward.

In Spring 2022, the St Paul's Church PCC held an Extraordinary Meeting to review the discernment process and seek to come to a decision on the future of the Church Hall. A decision was reached and this was announced in a letter to local residents which can be downloaded here.
