There is a time for everything…
Life is full of ups and downs, laughter and weeping. But walking with God through life changes everything. We want to be here for you through these moments.
Weddings at St Paul’s
We love having weddings at St Paul’s. There are some things about a church wedding that you just can't get anywhere else. The special vows of the Christian wedding service seek to put God at the centre of your marriage. We can blend traditional or modern styles to reflect your story, and make your wedding personal, memorable and meaningful. We also want to be a support for you after the wedding day itself.
Funerals at St Paul’s
Many people will choose St Paul’s for a funeral for a family member, especially if they’ve had a connection to the church or local area. The funeral service gives an opportunity to grieve together, give thanks for the deceased’s life, and commit them to God. A church funeral can be small or large. If you let your funeral director know you’d like a service at St Paul’s, often they will contact us and then put us in touch with you.
Baptisms & Thanksgivings at St Paul’s
We know how special the gift of a child is - and we love celebrating them with you! There are two services available to parents, depending on whether you feel able to personally affirm a living faith in God.
Some families choose to have a Thanksgiving Service. This special and personalised service can be arranged at a time to suit you. As part of the service we will pray for your child, and there will also be opportunity for supporting friends to express their commitment with you in raising your child.
For parents and godparents who are ready to publicly commit to raising their child to know and follow Jesus Christ, then a Baptism (or Christening) is often chosen. To prepare for baptism, we will encourage you to come along to our Sunday services, if you’re not already doing so. A member of our team will then meet with the family on a number of occasions as we get to know you and explain the spiritual promises you are choosing to make.
If you’ve recently become a Christian as a young person or adult and would like to get baptised or reaffirm your baptismal vows, we’d love to help you explore that. You may also choose to get ‘confirmed’, which involves ‘confirming’ the promises made at your baptism.
