The Church of Today.
We love having children and young people as part of our church community. We take seriously our responsibility for church to be a safe place for all ages to explore a relationship with God. Sometimes people say children and young people are the church of the future - but we’re convinced they’re the church of today too!

Children on Sundays.
Our Sunday children’s ministry is called J7 because we want to help children follow Jesus, seven days-a-week. We have two age streams that meet as part of our 10am Sunday service: J7 Adventurers (rising 3’s to Year 2) and J7 Crew (Years 3-6). The children begin the service with everyone else, before heading out to J7 groups after about 15 minutes. They can then be collected at the end of the 10am service.
There is a creche area in the lounge during the service for parents/guardians to take their 0-3s, if they would value it. The service will be streamed onto a TV in the lounge allowing you to follow along.
Once a month we have an All Together service, where everyone stays ‘all together’ for a shorter service.
All our J7 Leaders are DBS-checked and safely recruited. Any questions please contact our Safeguarding Officer, Tracy Graham.

Young People on Sundays.
For those young people who are secondary school ages, our Rooted group will meet as part of the 10am service and provide a guided way for Years 7+ to engage with the service. Rooted then meets immediately after the service for 10-15 minutes to discuss, pray & eat snacks!
All our J7 & Rooted Leaders are DBS-checked and safely recruited. Any questions please contact our Safeguarding Officer, Tracy Graham.

Through the Week.
Through the week we want to create opportunities for children & young people to connect with the life of the church, hear about Jesus, and go deeper in their faith.
Hot Chocolate Mondays is our families after-school drop-in on a Monday afternoon (3.15-4.30pm). In the colder months we serve hot chocolate, and when the sun eventually comes out we serve lemonade! Pop in for games, table tennis, table football and a chance to chill.
Youth is our Monday evening weekly event for those in Years 7-9. With games, snacks and a Bible-study, it's a chance to find out more about Christianity, invite friends, and go deeper in your faith. Every Monday in term-time from 6.30-8pm.

Baby & Toddlers
The Harbour is our welcoming baby and toddler group offering a haven for parents and carers as we navigate the waves of life with little ones! Come for play, friendship, and encouragement. Every Thursday in term-time from 9.30-11.30am - with toys, snacks, a Bible story and sing time.
Who Let the Dads Out?
Once a month, on the third Saturday morning of the month, we have Who Let The Dads Out? from 10-11.45, which is a fun space for dads, male carers, grandads, foster dads and godfathers to bring 0-11s. There are toys, crafts and dress-up for the children to play with, as well as great bacon butties for the dads.
Schools & Nurseries.
We enjoy a special partnership with St Paul’s Church of England Junior School, who come to the church building once a month for Collective Worship. We also enjoy good links with other schools in the area, and the local nursery, Happy Tots, join us regularly for a special session at the church midweek too.
We have an amazing Open the Book team who run Bible story assemblies in primary schools.
