Welcome to St Paul’s Barrow!

"We aim to be a vibrant and friendly church that lives out the welcome of Jesus Christ. We want to play our part in serving our town in Jesus' name. We’re an active, growing Christian community - and you are so welcome!

Hopefully it goes without saying, we’re ordinary people, with our own struggles and stories. And we’re made up of all ages, backgrounds, and situations in life. But in our diversity we’re also united because of God’s love in Jesus.

We love getting together for ‘church’, but we’re also committed to being sent out as followers of Jesus in our town and in God’s world. We have a passion for helping others discover the hope that is found in following him.

There's a place for you.

So whether you’re just looking into Christianity, whether you’re a committed Christian, or whether you’re somewhere in between, we hope you’ll find St Paul’s a place where you quickly feel at home.

We’re part of the Church of England and are the parish church for the Hawcoat area of Barrow, but we have a heart to bless our town and serve the wider area of South Cumbria too.

We’ve just celebrated 150 years of ministry & mission through St Paul’s, but we’re also excited about our future. But the best way to see what we’re about is to come along to one of our Sunday services.

Why not pop along? We have new people most weeks at our 10am service; there’s no dress code and our Welcome Team will do their best to put you at ease if you’re nervous about trying church.
